Crown Resorts, DSA launch road safety workforce effort

A year-long road safety workforce effort has been launched by Driver Safety Australia (DSA) and Crown Resorts, an Australian entertainment and casino corporation. The program’s objective is to provide the 23,000 workers of Crown Resorts with the knowledge and abilities to drive more safely. This project, which was started during National WorkSafe Month and Motorcycle Awareness Month in Victoria and New South Wales, reflects Crown’s commitment to employee safety and is in line with its goal for health, safety, and welfare.

Crown Resorts will provide its staff with online training courses and educational resources as part of this program. Five-time World MotoGP champion Mick Doohan, who will share his experiences and thoughts on road safety, has backed the program. He thinks that whether a person is cycling, riding a motorbike, or driving a vehicle, personal choices have a big impact on how safe the road is.

Mick Doohan will use his professional experience to help DSA produce training programs and materials for the staff members of Crown in Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. Russell White, the managing director of DSA, commended Crown Resorts for actively safeguarding its employees and fostering good change in the neighborhoods where it does business. Effective training and instruction in this area are essential since vehicle-related events are a primary cause of occupational deaths in Australia.
