Newport World Resorts appoints new Chief Casino Officer

Lance Gautreaux is now the Chief Casino Officer at Newport World Resorts in the Philippines. The official LinkedIn account for the property said that his new job started on September 11. Gautreaux is a master of the game business as he has worked in it for more than 25 years.

The statement says that Gautreaux has worked in several Las Vegas Sands Corp casinos before, such as The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in the United States and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

Newport World Resorts, found in the country’s capital region, is owned and run by Travellers International Hotel Group Inc, which is a part of the local business company Alliance Global Group Inc.

In the second quarter of the year, the property’s general net sales dropped by about 7.6% compared to the first quarter, which came to about PHP 7.3 billion (US$128.5 million). Last month, Alliance Global shared these numbers.

Gross gaming earnings (GGR) dropped by about 2.2% between April and June of 2023 compared to the first quarter of the year, hitting about PHP 8.7 billion. When compared to the same time last year, however, GGR for the second quarter rose by about 6.1%.
