Macau hotel occupancy rate falls further to 33.3% in August
Macau’s hotel occupancy rate fell to just 33.3% in August, down 1.1 percentage points year-on-year and significantly lower than the 38.1% rate in July.
The decline came on the back of a 19% year-on-year fall in visitor arrivals, as previously reported by IAG, although the August visitor figure was considerably higher sequentially as border restrictions with mainland China were eased.
