Can either team break their slump? The Washington Wizards, holding the NBA's worst record, face the Brooklyn Nets in a crucial matchup. Don't miss this Thursday's game!

Running Score: 6-3

Two of the NBA’s worst teams face off on Thursday as the league-worst Washington Wizards travel to Barclays Center to take on the Brooklyn Nets.

Brooklyn is coming off a thrilling comeback win against one of the league’s hottest teams, the Houston Rockets. Trailing 97-93 with just nine seconds left, the Nets hit a clutch three, forced a steal, and sealed the victory with a cold-blooded game-winner from D’Angelo Russell.

Meanwhile, the Wizards are also riding some momentum after a 124-114 win over the Charlotte Hornets on February 4, marking just their second two-game winning streak of the season. Now, they’re aiming for their longest win streak of the year.

With Kyle Kuzma finding his rhythm and the Wizards finally maximizing Jonas Valanciunas —who has been far more efficient than Alex Sarr— I love Washington’s chances in this matchup. After managing just one win in all of January, the Wizards seem eager to put together a strong stretch.

Players like Kuzma and Valančiūnas also have added motivation, as strong performances could boost their trade value ahead of the deadline.

I like the Wizards to win this game outright, but I’ll take the handicap as I expect a close contest between these two.

Current Odds:
