After warning about a fake website, PAGCOR is now alerting the public about scammers impersonating its top officials to commit fraud.

Just a day after warning against a fake website, The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) is warning people about scammers posing as its top officials.
How the Scam Works
PAGCOR says these scammers send fake Viber messages, pretending to be Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco or President and COO Wilma Eisma. They use phone numbers falsely registered under their names:
+63951-7359836 (falsely linked to Mr. Tengco)
+63938-2857343 (falsely linked to Ms. Eisma)
The scammers try to trick people and businesses by offering fake rewards or other promises.
PAGCOR’s Warning
Mr. Tengco warned people to be careful and not to reply to messages from unknown numbers claiming to be PAGCOR officials.
“These scams are dangerous. We ask everyone to stay alert and report any suspicious messages, especially those offering money,” he said.
To confirm if a message is real, people can check:
PAGCOR’s official website: www.pagcor.ph
Trunkline numbers: +632 8521-1542 / +632 8522-0299
More Scam Warnings
This warning comes after another recent scam involving a fake website that claimed to give gaming licenses. The site used fake forms and even a forged signature of Mr. Tengco. It is not yet clear if both scams are connected.
