Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera, a prominent figure in the Philippine Mobile Legends: Bang Bang scene, is set to make a comeback to the MPL Philippines stage, this time donning the jersey of TNC Pro Team.

After a brief stint in MPL Indonesia with Team Liquid Indonesia, Yawi will join a TNC Pro Team squad that's eager to turn the tide after a disappointing streak of three consecutive last-place finishes in the local league.

"After competing in MPL ID, we're glad to announce Yawi's arrival in the Phoenix Army! But wait, there are still four players yet to be seen," TNC Pro Team announced, hinting at a major roster overhaul towards the 2025 MLBB circuit.

Yawi spent two seasons in Team Liquid ID, earning 5th-6th place in MPL Season 13 before clinching a championship in MPL Season 14. He however had limited playing time and was snubbed from the M6 World Championship lineup.

Team Liquid ID is currently hanging on a limbo in the Swiss Stages after absorbing a 0-1 loss against Philippine champions FNATIC Onic.

Yawi’s return to TNC means reuniting with Setsuna “AkoSiDogie” Ignacio who has signed with TNC Pro Team as a content creator earlier this year.

Yawi's addition to TNC Pro Team marks the first official announcement of their roster for the upcoming season. Known for his aggressive playstyle and risky plays, Yawi played a pivotal role in ECHO's (now Team Liquid PH’s) triumphs in both MPL Philippines and the M4 World Championships.

His playstyle made ECHO at the time known as the “ECHO Express” as his high-stakes set-ups gave his teammates space to draw kills across the map.

However, during MPL Season 12, Yawi's playing time dwindled, sparking rumors of potential internal conflicts within the team, as reported by ABS-CBN News. While ECHO denied these allegations, Yawi eventually parted ways with the organization, expressing gratitude for his time there and looking forward to new challenges.
