The Orlando Magic and Atlanta Hawks face off in a Southeast Division showdown, with both teams looking to improve their position in the Eastern Conference standings. With Miami struggling, the Southeast division is up for grabs as these two teams are separated by just half a game and are currently sitting as the 7th and 8th seed.

The Magic have shown flashes of being a legitimate playoff contender, they even started the season as a top 3 team in the east. Their biggest challenge has been the ability to stay healthy and it’s held them back. Now, with Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner back at full strength, Orlando is in a position to make a push for the second half of the season.

Atlanta has been a wild card this season. They’ve had stretches wherein they’ve looked really good, beating some of the top teams. However, their recent moves trading away De’Andre Hunter and Bogdan Bogdanovic—raises questions about their depth. Trae Young remains the focal point, but the supporting cast will need to step up against a well-rested Orlando squad.
