T1 prevailed in the best of 5 series, further cementing its place as the winningest organization in League of Legends with five world championships, all of which included Lee “Faker” Sang-Hyeok in the squad. The report included viewers from different platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. However, the numbers do not include those coming from Chinese platforms.
During the Swiss Stage, which introduced a new tournament format, peak online viewership surged by a remarkable 96% from the previous Play-In Stage.
This stage saw multiple intense matchups, including Team Liquid, PSG Talon, Top Esports, and Hanwha Life Esports, contributing to record numbers.
For example, the match between Top Esports and T1 reached a peak of 2.82 million viewers, while Team Liquid vs. Weibo Gaming also garnered over 2 million peak views
Additionally, the event’s popularity has been bolstered by prominent esports co-streamers. Streamer Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, for instance, broke personal viewership records, peaking at over 227,000 concurrent viewers during the G2 vs. Weibo Gaming series.
