Galaxy Macau opens new Phase 3 amenities

December 19, 2023 Macau Casino & Hotel

Galaxy Entertainment Group’s main integrated resort on the Cotai Strip, Galaxy Macau, has inaugurated its third phase.

The phase three facilities, including the spectacular 16,000-seat Galaxy Arena and the 430,000-square-foot Galaxy International Convention Center, were on display during the grand opening event on December 13.

Thanks to the development of two additional hotels as part of the expansion, Andaz Macau and Raffles at Galaxy Macau, the resort currently has 1,100 guestrooms and suites in its inventory. Dr. Lui Che Woo, the founder and chief controller of Galaxy Entertainment Group, alluded to a number of related initiatives, including plans for a boutique hotel catering to high-end, wealthy tourists that would have fewer than 100 rooms. Details on possible collaborations with internationally recognized luxury hotel chains will be released soon.

If the plans are implemented, the boutique hotel will be the eighth hotel concept in the Galaxy Macau complex. At the moment, the resort’s portfolio includes well-known brands including StarWorld, JW Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, and Banyan Tree. Dr. Lui estimates that the boutique hotel will be finished by 2024.

Almost 400,000 square feet of 1,500 slots and 650 table games make up the Galaxy Macau, a first-opening casino that opened in 2011. The Promenade Shops provide a variety of entertainment choices, high-end retail shopping, and a large selection of food alternatives.

Regarding the future, Galaxy Macau’s fourth stage has great promise for the firm. Galaxy Entertainment Group promised that in return for $3.4 billion in non-gambling investments at its Macau casinos, it will get a new 10-year gaming license. The second phase will include a brand-new integrated resort with several high-end hotel brands, a range of eating and drinking venues, retail stores, and other non-gaming facilities including a water resort and a cutting-edge amusement park. An worldwide music and performing arts facility with 4,000 seats is another feature of the construction aimed at enhancing the local arts and cultural landscape.

Galaxy Entertainment Group is committed to upholding and advancing the “One Country, Two Systems” policy agreement between China and Macau as a “World Center of Tourism and Leisure” in Macau.
