Shell Malaysia sets up EV charging stations at Resorts World Genting
With the addition of ten more charging bays by Shell Malaysia, Resorts World Genting in Malaysia is poised to grow in popularity as a location for electric vehicle charging.
With this expansion, Shell Recharge’s network of EV charging stations in Malaysia now has 146 total, and the nation’s first ultra-fast 360kW high-performance charging hub is now available.
Six 22kW alternating current charger bays and four 360kW high-performance charging bays will be part of the finished hub. Type 2 connections for the integrated charging system will be included in every charging station to facilitate ultra-fast charging. Anticipated to begin operations in early 2024, the new EV charging station is a component of Shell’s endeavor to cater to Malaysia’s increasing need for robust EV charging infrastructure
Shell’s collaboration with Genting Malaysia and Porsche Malaysia highlights its commitment to expanding the country’s EV charging infrastructure and promoting environmentally friendly transportation choices. Shell Mobility Malaysia’s General Manager, Seow Lee Ming, emphasized the company’s dedication to continuous expansion and the significance of e-mobility in guaranteeing a sustainable future.
