Galaxy Entertainment Group announces “strategic partnership” with iQiyi
A “strategic partnership” has been formed between Galaxy Entertainment Group and iQiyi, a well-known mainland Chinese provider of entertainment production and online video services. Large-scale entertainment events, immersive virtual reality experiences, and the development of a range of programming are all planned outcomes of this partnership. Film and TV drama productions will also be undertaken.
The government’s Policy Address for 2024 states that Macau aspires to become a “City of Shows,” and this aim is strategically tied to the partnership. As a consequence of this exciting partnership, Galaxy Arena, a recently completed section of the Galaxy Macau complex, will function as the main venue for a range of cultural and entertainment events.
The partnership between Galaxy Entertainment and iQiyi is yet another critical step in enhancing Macau’s entertainment and cultural sectors. Galaxy Arena’s prior partnerships with Tencent Music Entertainment Group and Warner Music China show how committed the firm is to providing Macau with a wide range of top-notch entertainment options.
With a capacity of 16,000 people, the multipurpose Galaxy Arena is housed within the Galaxy International Convention Centre (GICC) at Galaxy Macau. It is expected to serve as a hub for a range of live entertainment, aiding in Macau’s transformation into a vibrant cultural destination. The partnership demonstrates Galaxy Entertainment’s dedication to enhancing Macau’s standing as a global centre for entertainment and cultural events.
