LET Group Holdings Limited, through its subsidiary Suntrust Resort Holdings, is making significant strides in its flagship 5-star hotel and casino project in Manila, Philippines. Recent agreements with contractors EE Black and MDCC mark important milestones in the construction of the Westside City Phase 1 Project, located in Parañaque at the Manila Bayshore Integrated City.
EE Black, a U.S.-based firm, has been awarded a contract valued at PHP1.5 billion ($26.5 million) according to a report published by AGBrief. The company will design, supply, and install floors, walls, ceilings, and finishes for the casino and VIP gaming areas. Known for its expertise in high-end resort projects, EE Black was chosen for its proficiency in architectural, mechanical, and electrical works.
Meanwhile, MDCC, a local construction firm, will oversee the fit-out works for public areas, including the main lobby and VIP lounges. Their contract, worth PHP426 million ($7.5 million), includes the installation of partitions, built-in furniture, and other essential components.
These contracts are integral to LET Group’s strategy to solidify its presence in the Philippines’ expanding gaming sector. The company has secured financing for the project and anticipates a significant boost in earnings once it becomes operational. The hotel and casino are projected to open by 2025, targeting both domestic and international visitors.
Additionally, LET Group expects a property, plant, and equipment boost of approximately PHP1.8 billion ($31.8 million) as part of this development. Despite facing some liquidity challenges, the company remains optimistic about its long-term growth prospects.
