InterContinental Hotels Returns to Philippines with New Clark City Hotel
International hotel brand InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is set to return to the Philippines through a franchise agreement with IHG Hotels & Resorts and Hann Philippines Inc., the operator of Clark’s Hann Casino Resort.
InterContinental Clark will be centrally located in Hann’s 450-hectare Hann Reserve luxury estate in New Clark City, featuring 250 rooms and anticipated to open in 2031. The development of the hotel will begin in 2027.
Chris Anklin, Senior Director of Development at IHG Hotels & Resorts, highlighted the Philippines’ potential for regional tourism growth and IHG’s commitment to supporting new developments like Hann Reserve. Anklin expressed confidence that InterContinental Clark will enrich the area with its leisure, lifestyle, and business offerings.
Dae Sik Han, Chairman and CEO of Hann Philippines Inc., expressed enthusiasm about partnering with IHG to bring the InterContinental brand back to the Philippines. Han noted the brand’s esteemed heritage and its potential to enhance Hann Reserve as a premier luxury destination.
Hann Reserve will feature high-end amenities, including three 18-hole championship golf courses, ultra-luxury residences, lifestyle commercial centers, gaming, an international school, and a 10-hectare public park. InterContinental Clark will offer two restaurants, two bars, meeting facilities for 600 people, a Club InterContinental Lounge, a health club and spa, a swimming pool, a kids club, and a retail outlet.
