Hunt for Alice Leal Guo: NBI Offers Reward

July 5, 2024 Philippines Crime & Legal

The National Bureau of Investigation is offering a P50,000 reward for information leading to the location of Alice Leal Guo, who resides in Quezon City. According to a report by Sandra Aguinaldo on “24 Oras,” the NBI seeks to interview her as part of its investigation into recent revelations from Senate hearings.

NBI clearance records show two women named Alice Leal Guo, one from Bamban, Tarlac, and the other from Quezon City. While the suspended Alice Guo from Bamban has appeared in Senate hearings, Quezon City resident Alice Leal Guo has not yet been located.

NBI Director Jaime Santiago questioned the motives behind using the name Alice Leal Guo with a birthdate of July 12, 1986, and a Tarlac birthplace, asking, “Why did you do it? Who instructed you?” He speculated that someone may have directed her to obtain an NBI clearance under that name, “for whatever purpose.”

There is no established connection between the two Alice Leal Guos, though Senator Risa Hontiveros suggests that the Bamban mayor may have assumed the identity of the Quezon City resident.

The NBI has discovered that the Bamban official and a Chinese passport holder named Guo Hua Ping share identical fingerprints, indicating they are the same person. Despite questions about her identity, Guo maintains she is Filipino.

Her citizenship and identity were scrutinized after a government raid on a Philippine offshore gaming hub in Bamban linked to alleged criminal activities.
