Malaysia, China Extend Tourist Visa-Free Travel
As a result of extending their visa-free travel policies, China and Malaysia have increased tourism prospects.
Currently, Malaysians can go to China without a visa through the end of 2025, while Chinese tourists can enter Malaysia through late 2026.
The first one-year visa-free program, which started in December 2023, is being expanded upon by this decision.
This year, millions of tourists are projected to visit China, making it Malaysia’s largest source market for tourists outside of ASEAN.
Due to the “mass return” of Chinese tourists and the possibility of a revenue increase back to pre-pandemic levels, analysts predict that Malaysian resorts like Resorts World Genting will benefit greatly.
