Ex-Universal Entertainment President Faces Damages Claim
Okada Manila’s owner, Universal Entertainment, is suing former president Jun Fujimoto for financial damages.
The action was taken in response to a Tokyo court’s April ruling that Fujimoto had violated his fiduciary duty by transferring around $43.5 million without justification.
After a court decision holding him responsible for the company’s compensation, Fujimoto resigned in April.
It has taken “necessary measures” to guarantee that Universal Entertainment can pursue damages in the event that the verdict is sustained.
This involves assembling a task force to supervise the process.
