Star Entertainment’s Future in Doubt as Inquiry Questions Suitability
Due to a negative report to the ongoing investigation, Star Entertainment’s ability to maintain a casino license in New South Wales is under examination.
Even with monitoring, Caspar Conde, the investigation’s lawyer, said that Star is not yet fit for operation.
This follows the discovery that Star’s claim of Hard Rock International’s takeover interest was a fake. Due to rumors of attempts to sabotage regulators and falsify consumer welfare reports, the company has already lost notable personnel.
Conde ridiculed Star’s idea that more license limitations or management changes would make their issues go away. He stated, “A person cannot be unsuitable but rendered suitable by conditions,” and he does not anticipate anything changing in the near future.
Before July 31, 2024, Commissioner Adam Bell’s recommendations for Star’s next license must be submitted. This most recent discovery paints a bleak picture for the financially troubled gaming company.
