New “Dual Cities” Lounge Streamlines Travel in Macau

Because of an innovative partnership between three airport service companies, travelers visiting Macau can now have a more seamless travel experience.

The first “Dual Cities” airport lounge in the area has opened at the Venetian Resort in Macau.

The goal of this creative initiative is to facilitate air travel for Macau residents and visitors. It is being led by Hong Kong Macau Airport Passenger Services Limited, Hong Kong International Airport (China) Limited, and Zhuhai International Airport Management Limited.

Situated near the east gate of the Venetian, the lounge offers a range of facilities designed to help travelers connect to Hong Kong International Airport, Zhuhai Airport, and Macau.

Passengers can purchase direct bus tickets to both destinations, check in for flights leaving from either airport, and obtain travel information.

For travelers between Hong Kong and Zhuhai, the lounge also provides waiting areas, shuttle bus services, and other travel aid.

This is more than just a convenient project. One example of an integrated “air-land connectivity” system is the “Dual Cities” lounge.

This promotes regional cooperation and enables travel abroad. Ultimately, it contributes to Macau’s ongoing growth as a premier travel and entertainment destination.

The arrival of the lounge aligns with Zhuhai Airport’s growing significance. Zhuhai Airport serves about 84 mainland Chinese localities, and its passenger volume has recovered to almost 90% of pre-pandemic levels, according to a 2023 research by Seaport Research.

Zhuhai’s strategic positioning aligns with the Greater Bay Area’s goal of enhancing economic cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau by establishing the city as an attractive and affordable travel destination.

As the “Dual Cities” lounge opens the door to a more effective travel experience, Macau is prepared to firmly establish itself as a leading travel destination.
