NagaCorp Announces Leadership Shift: CEO’s Son Departs

Chen Cherchi, the son of the late founder, has departed from NagaCorp, the company that operates NagaWorld, the largest casino resort in Cambodia.

On May 16, Cherchi will step down from her role as CEO of Finance and Treasury, vacating all other executive roles in the company.

This follows a leadership shift in 2022 that saw founder Chen Lip Keong elevated to Senior CEO, paving the way for his sons to assume senior roles.

After his father’s passing in December 2023, Chen Yiy Fon assumed the role of CEO.

Cherchi’s resignation was attributed by NagaCorp to managerial downsizing, which suggested that there may have been disagreement with his choice.

The company hasn’t disclosed who will take over.
