Okada Manila Partners with Philippine Coast Guard for Vital Medical Mission on Talim Island
One of the top integrated resorts in the Philippines, Okada Manila, demonstrated its commitment to community welfare by working with the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary 107th Squadron to create a ground-breaking Medical and Dental Mission on Talim Island in the province of Rizal.
Serving as a vital outreach project, the mission gave basic healthcare services to 648 people in a neighborhood without adequate medical facilities.
Volunteers filled the gap in the island’s rural population’s access to healthcare by providing a wide range of services, such as consultations, surgeries, dental care, and eye exams.
The one-day event was organized by a committed group of 153 volunteers, which included members of Okada Manila, the Philippine Coast Guard, medical experts, and local politicians. The trip was led by Okada Manila’s Jay Ian Capuz and Ramil Alejo, and it received exceptional support from local leaders including Vice Mayor Gil F. Pandac and Barangay Subay Chairman Fernando Ditablan Anore Sr.
President and COO of Okada Manila, Byron Yip, emphasized teamwork and emphasized the resort’s commitment to community involvement beyond financial considerations.
Chief Security Officer Debold Sinas expressed the desire to increase social awareness while highlighting the team’s dedication to community involvement and social responsibility.
The successful completion of the mission reflects Okada Manila’s ongoing dedication to improving healthcare accessibility in remote areas and fostering community well-being.
It exemplifies the potent influence of public-private partnerships in tackling pressing healthcare concerns at the local level.
