PH gov’t to introduce new “layover tour” for tourists transiting through NAIA
The four integrated resorts in Entertainment City and other neighboring areas of interest will be accessible to visitors passing through Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) via a new “layover tour” program that the Philippine government plans to introduce.
The idea was presented by Christina Frasco, the secretary of tourism, and, depending on the completion of technical details, might be implemented as early as the second quarter of 2024. The journey, which follows a “hop-on hop-off” bus schedule, will stop at 13 locations in Pasay and Paranaque, including Solaire Resort Entertainment City, Okada Manila, Newport World Resorts, and City of Dreams Manila. There will also be trips to the SMX Convention Center and large shopping centers.
“We are already planning stopover trips for our layover or transit guests,” Frasco said. With our Philippine Hop-on Hop-off bus journeys, just picture spending a few hours seeing the country of the Philippines. We’re sure that this innovative plan will give the Philippines an edge over its rivals and enable it to emerge as Asia’s leading travel destination.
Additionally, talks are in progress to hasten the temporary departure of visitors from the airport. Beginning in 2023, the government now offers residents and tourists in the Philippines Hop-on Hop-off trips located in Manila.
