SJM Resorts declares wage hike for 99.5% of employees.
The Macau concessionaire SJM Resorts has said that 99.5% of its staff would benefit from a pay raise that will go into effect on April 1.
According to the company, the pay increase was a token of appreciation for the effort and commitment of its employees.
Workers who meet the eligibility requirements and join the company before January 1, 2024, with a basic monthly income of MOP$16,000 (US$1,985) or less, would get a pay rise of MOP$600 (US$75). Employees whose monthly salary exceeds MOP$16,000 will receive a raise of 2.5%.
SJM stated: “The company is pleased to witness the continuous growth of its team members. United as one, SJM and its team members will continue to strive for high-quality innovative developments, injecting new momentum and vitality into the Macau economy.”
Now, the staff of all six Macau concessionaires have received pay increases, with uniform increment rates. Furthermore, all six have said that their bonuses would be disbursed prior to the Chinese New Year.
