Solaire North Casino set to open in March 2024
According to recent reports, the Philippines’ Solaire North Casino Complex, fronted by tycoon Enrique Razon, is set to open in March 2024.
Razon, the chairman and CEO of promoter Bloomberry Resorts Corp., previously said at the third-quarter earnings announcement in November that the construction of Solaire Resort North in Quezon City was on track and would be completed by March 2024.
The Philippine Star verified the debut date in March 2024, citing a recent interview with Razon. The casino complex is located in Quezon City, which is part of the Greater Manila region. Notably, as Razon revealed in June 2020, the project has been delayed in development, owing to issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Because it will employ around 4,200 people, the forthcoming Solaire Resort North is projected to provide a considerable economic boost to the area. According to Bloomberry, the facility would comprise a hotel tower with up to 550 rooms, a gaming center with up to 200 gaming tables, and an amazing 3,000 slot machines.
Bloomberry Resorts Corp.’s principal project at the present is the famed Solaire Resort and Casino in Entertainment City Manila. Furthermore, the business manages the Jeju Sun Hotel and Casino in Jeju, South Korea, bolstering its position in the Asian gaming sector.
Bloomberry declared interest in building a third casino resort on the country’s biggest island, Luzon, in a May 2022 filing to the Philippine Stock Exchange. This proposed project would be located in Paniman, a seaside hamlet in Cavite about 66 kilometers southwest of Metro Manila.
Bloomberry Resorts Corp generated a net income attributable to shareholders of over PHP1.86 billion, or almost US$33.4 million, in the third quarter of 2023, reflecting the company’s sustained financial performance. This result represents a significant yearly increase of 19.2 percent.
