Genius Sports, FIBA extends agreement until 2035

FIBA, the global basketball governing body, and Genius Sports have renewed their contract until 2035.

As part of the arrangement, which will run from 2025 to 2035, Genius Sports will provide its technology to national federations and basketball leagues all around the world.

The AI-powered systems are meant to automate important processes like creating live videos, monitoring optical players, and gathering official statistics. Technology will increase broadcasting opportunities by creating an integrated solution for live game statistics and video production.

Leagues and national federations will also benefit from enhanced coaching tools, analytics, and automated officiating provided by an AI-powered player-tracking system.

Genius Sports will serve as both the governing body’s official innovation and technology services partner and its official partner for data and video capture and production until 2035.
