Gaming Laboratories Int’l appoints new chief business officer for Asia-Pacific region

Richard Howarth has been appointed as Chief Business Officer for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, according to a Monday announcement made by Gaming Laboratories International LLC (GLI), a service and consultancy provider for gaming technology testing.

In his new role, Mr. Howarth will oversee the management of commercial growth strategies for GLI’s labs located in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Macau. Managing client relationships with operators, suppliers, authorities, and trade associations will take precedence. In order to meet the requirements and standards of the international gaming business, he will also ensure alignment with delivery teams.

Ian Hughes, the Chief Executive of GLI for APAC, expressed his happiness at Mr. Howarth’s arrival, particularly for the Asia-Pacific region. Hughes highlighted the value that Howarth brings to GLI’s APAC clients by noting his extensive knowledge and experience in technology, gaming, hospitality, responsible gaming, and customer relations.

Richard Howarth held this role before serving as the Chief Business Officer for business technology sales at IXUP Ltd., the company that just introduced BetStop, an Australian initiative for responsible gaming. Additionally, he was employed by the Australian casino operator The Star Entertainment Group as the General Manager for Sales, Marketing, and Events.
