Number of gambling addiction cases rises in Macau
The number of persons who registered as having a gambling ailment with Macau’s Social Welfare Bureau increased throughout the first three quarters of the year, nearing pre-COVID levels.
According to TDM Radio, 110 people registered with the Central Registry System of Individuals with Gambling Disorders between January and September, with 30% of those individuals being visitors.
Approximately 2,300 people used the 24-hour hotline and the Internet to get help between January and October; of those, 70% used the Internet.
