“Art Museum” at MGM Macau to be permanent feature on level two
The recently announced “Art Museum” will remain a permanent feature on level two of the MGM Macau casino resort, according to MGM China Holdings Ltd.
It was not stated when the facility will open. The Art Museum will be housed in the Grande Praça atrium of the MGM Macau. The majority of the 60,000 square feet (5,574 square meters) of space will be used for “meetings, incentives, and conferences” (MIC).
The resort’s MIC events will be hosted in the new museum, which is an expansion of the previous MGM Art Space. By the third quarter of 2024, such events may be accessible, according to MGM China. The US-based casino operator MGM Resorts International, which owns the majority of MGM China, has concentrated on non-gaming endeavors such as the Art Museum.
In December, MGM China and Poly Culture Group Corp Ltd, a Chinese company that specializes in art business and cultural asset management services, inked a partnership agreement. As part of the agreement, Poly Culture Group will work with MGM China to establish the Art Museum at MGM Macau, providing services for art display and exhibition curation. The new museum’s first exhibition will be on the “Maritime Silk Road.”
