Former Macau Canidrome Club poised for “Snowy Wonderland” transformation

An interactive “Snowy Wonderland” will be created within the former Macau Canidrome Club as part of the Macau Light Festival, an initiative of the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO).

Until mid-2018, the Canidrome was a greyhound racing stadium. Now, on weekends from December 9 to January 14, it will include interactive activities, a playground, lighting exhibitions, and a simulated ice skating rink.

A component of Light up Macao 2023, the “Snowy Wonderland” initiative aims to attract visitors and create a joyful atmosphere.

In addition, the MGTO plans to collaborate with nearby businesses to plan more events that will boost tourism and consumption. Tourism authorities in Macau anticipate a rise in visitor numbers in the fourth quarter of 2023, with a predicted 27 million visitors by year’s end, 22 million of which have already been reported from January to October.
