NBA, FanDuel partner to create new game
A new smartphone game based on the NBA All-Star 3-Point Contest has been released by the NBA in collaboration with FanDuel. As part of FanDuel’s Faceoff series, the NBA Swish Showdown game lets users shoot a virtual basketball on their phone screen. Players may win cash prizes and gain points for various activities.
A series of video games called FanDuel’s Faceoff features sports imagery and gives users the chance to win real money. Another variant is called Gronk Spike Cornhole, after NFL player Rob Gronkowski. Players get points by tossing bean bags through a hole.
FanDuel is still the NBA’s official sports betting partner, and NBA Swish Showdown remains a part of that collaboration. The game is now playable, and its Daily Shot feature gives early players the chance to win daily cash rewards. FanDuel is also running a launch promotion where players who play five paid or free games between now and November 26th may win a $250 NBA Store Gift Card.
