MGTO currently organizing another “Macau Week” in mainland China
In cooperation with all six concessionaires, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is organizing another “Macau Week” in mainland China. It will be held in Xiamen for five days starting on Thursday.
This year’s “Macau Week” carnivals in Qingdao and Tianjin came before the event. As a result, the MGTO will host the competition in mainland China for the third time.
In addition to showcasing Macau’s food, festivals, and events, the roadshow will contain an exhibition space for the city’s tourism industry, which will include the six Macau concessionaires and regional airlines.
The MGTO reports that in an effort to draw residents of Macau, the tourism industry would provide RMB42 million in trip packages that include airline tickets, hotel stays, and vouchers for food and drink.
Additionally, concessionaires will offer various trip packages. Among them, MGM announced that in order to draw tourists and residents of Xiamen to Macau, it will provide travel discounts worth more than MOP$13 million.
Furthermore, to further promote Macau’s reputation as a City of Gastronomy, Galaxy Macau, the MGTO, and the Andaz Xiamen Hotel will collaborate to host a gourmet event.
