Asian Championship of Gamers8: A New Esports Frontier
A preliminary round will be held online from May 1 to May 16, and the first Gamers8 IESF Asian Championship will be held as a result of the cooperation from July 10 to July 17. The largest gaming and esports festival in the world, Gamers8, will include the offline round. The championship winner will go on to the WE Championship Finals in August in Romania.
The first WE Championships qualifiers for this year are in Asia & Oceania, and they mark the beginning of several months of thrilling international Esports action. There will then be qualifiers for the Americas, Europe, and Africa. Six games—PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, CS:GO, Dota 2, Tekken 7, and eFootballTM—will be played in each region.
“We thank the city of Riyadh for hosting the Gamers8 IESF Asian Championship,” said Boban Totovski, secretary general of the IESF. We’re sure the World Esports Family will have a memorable time in one of the top esports locations on earth. We appreciate the chance to work with Gamers8 and the Saudi Esports Federation, and we look forward to watching the top gamers in the region play in Riyadh.
The first-ever Gamers8 IESF Asian Championship will be held in Saudi Arabia, and Ahmed Albishri, deputy CEO of the Saudi Esports Federation, expressed excitement about the event, adding, “This competition is a fantastic prize for all Asian gamers. In the summer of 2023, we will hold the event for the first time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Our goal is to highlight the best abilities and offer an exceptional esports experience.
With an anticipated participation record of 120 nations this year and an enlarged Women’s CS:GO Tournament, IESF is dedicated to its aim of encouraging inclusion and diversity in the World Esports Family. From August 24 to September 4, the World Esports Champion will be crowned during the WE Championships Finals.
