PAGCOR Offices and Gaming Venues Achieve ISO 9001:2015 Certification
Philippines gaming regulator PAGCOR said Thursday that it has been recertified to International Standardization Organization (ISO) 9001:2015 for the third consecutive time after completing a three-day audit conducted in late 2022.
The ISO 9001:2015 recertification applies to the agency’s corporate offices in Ermita, Malate and Pasay and its Casino Filipino branches in Tagaytay, Angeles, Citystate and New Coast. Casino Filipino branches in Ilocos Norte and Cebu were among the locations to be newly certified.
According to ISO, its ISO 9001:2015 standard elates to requirements for a quality management system when an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
The requirements are generic and therefore applicable to any organization, regardless of its type or size, or the products and services it provides.
The audit report from DQS Certification Phil’s Inc states, “PAGCOR effectively fulfilled the requirements for quality management system and risk-based thinking in its business operations. It also implemented and maintained a management system in accordance with the applied standards.”
The recertification is valid until 21 March 2026.
In accepting PAGCOR’s certification certificate, Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco said it was his goal to ensure all PAGCOR gaming venues are certified to ISO 9001:2015 before his term ends.
“That is our goal and I commit as your Chairman and CEO that we will make sure that this will happen,” he said.
