Philippines receives the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy for The First Time

On March 1, the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy made its first-ever stop in the Philippines at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati. This was the first time the trophy has ever visited the country.

HK Yu, the Australian ambassador to the Philippines, and Peter Kell, the New Zealand ambassador, are the hosts of the World Cup.

As part of the preparations for the 2023 Women’s World Cup in July, the Philippines has hosted the third stop on the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour.

The winner’s trophy made its first two visits in Japan and South Korea, and after the Philippines, it will travel to Vietnam.

According to Gastanes, the FIFA Women’s World Cup champion’s trophy has arrived in the Philippines, which has pleased both the Federation and football fans.

The Trophy Tour will be held here for the first time because the Philippines qualified for the World Cup for the first time, making this a particularly significant occasion.

Filipinas will put up a fight
Gastanes predicted that despite being first-timers in the Women’s World Cup, the Filipinas will put up a spirited fight.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity”, Gastanes said. “They will be right in the middle of the conflict. They will fight it out.”

“Our players, both old and new, share a common trait in that they are highly persistent, never give up, and really show amazing heart,” the coach said.
