The 2022 men’s football World Cup in Qatar kicks off on November 20th
Qatar will welcome the biggest stars in football on November 2022 as Qatar host the World Cup

32 teams from all over the globe will be competing to get their hands on the coveted gold trophy, return home as heroes and bestow honor on their country.

 

Wondering when it will start?

The 2022 football World Cup in Qatar kicks off on Sunday 20th November 2022 and runs through to Sunday 18th December. This year’s FIFA World Cup is the first to not take place during the northern hemisphere summer.

The matches will be played in 8 different stadiums across Qatar: Al Bayt Stadium, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Stadium 974, Lusail Iconic Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium, Education City Stadium, Al Wakrah Sports Complex Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.

Qatar has a population of around 3 million people, with the majority of its population living in the nation’s capital Doha and is looking forward to receiving millions of tourists from all over the globe.

The 32 countries competing for the 2022 World Cup are Qatar (Hosts), Australia, Japan, Morocco, Switzerland, Ghana, the Korean Republic, Cameroon, Serbia, Canada, Costa Rica, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Germany, The Netherlands, Uruguay, Croatia, Denmark, Mexico, the United States, Senegal, Wales, and Poland.

The teams are divided into eight groups for the tournament’s group rounds. Each group has four teams, and each country will play each team in their group. Winners receive three points, a tie results in each team having one point, and losers will have no points. The top two teams in each group with the most points at the end of the group stage advance to the next stage, which is the round of 16.
Qatar(host) will play the first match against Ecuador on Sunday 20th November 19:00 local time

The biggest names in world football will show up in Qatar for the tournament and you guessed right the G.O.A.Ts are going to be there; Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to give us their last show before they bow out of the game due to their age Messi and Ronaldo are 35 and 37 respectively.
