Singapore’s recently established gambling regulator, the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA), has issued a new three-year license to Singapore Pools (Private) Limited, allowing it to conduct betting operations, gaming and lotteries.

The GRA said Wednesday that the license was issued after it determined the Singapore Pools had fulfilled the suitability criteria under Section 54 of the Gambling Control Act 2022.

The new license runs from 25 October 2022 to 24 October 2025, with the GRA also publishing a list of 297 venues approves to offer Singapore Pools betting services.

Established in 1968, the Singapore Pools is a state-owned by the Tote Board – a statutory board operating under the Ministry of Finance. It remains the only licensed lotteries operator in Singapore.

The GRA took over all gaming regulation from the former Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA), which regulated Singapore’s two casinos, the Gambling Regulatory Unit in the Ministry of Home Affairs, which regulated online gambling services and fruit machines, and the Singapore Totalisator Board, which regulated the Singapore Pools, in August.
