Mavs star Luka Doncic makes series debut in Game 4 vs. Jazz
Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic made his 2022 playoff debut Saturday after straining his left calf in the regular-season finale and had 30 points and 10 rebounds. It was a strong performance after missing nearly two weeks, and the Mavs needed every bit of that performance to stay in the game.
Rudy Gobert gave Utah the lead with an alley-oop dunk with 11.0 seconds left and the Jazz held off the Mavericks 100-99 in Game 4 to tie the first-round series.
“Getting my wind back,” Doncic said. “A little bit tired now but it felt great to be back.”
Coach Jason Kidd said before the game that Doncic would be under a minutes restriction. He played 34.
Game 5 is Monday night in Dallas.
