Hong Kong Reduces Mandatory Hotel Quarantine to 14 Days

Hong Kong is shortening its mandatory Covid-19 quarantine time from 21 to 14 days, though it has extended its existing social distancing curbs for two more weeks until February 21.

The move to shorten the quarantine period came after complaints from travelers and companies paying high quarantine costs for employees.

Under the new rules, people arriving in Hong Kong will spend the first two weeks at quarantine hotels and then seven days under medical surveillance at home, though they will be allowed to leave home during this time.
