Visa launches crypto consultancy to help banks tackle bitcoin
Visa is launching a cryptocurrency advisory practice, a move it says will help banks and merchants embrace growing client demand for digital assets.
The payments provider said its new practice is aimed at financial institutions looking to help customers build a crypto offering, including assets such as non-fungible tokens, crypto wallets and central bank digital currencies.
“Crypto represents a technological shift for money movement and digital ownership,” said Antony Cahill, deputy chief executive of Visa in Europe, in an 8 December statement. “As consumers change their approach to investing, where they bank, and their views on the future of money, every financial institution will need a crypto strategy.”
