Macau aims to begin slow return back to normalcy again
Today is a key date for the Macau sector with a couple of incremental steps taking place in the slow return to normal tourism, updates Jefferies analyst David Katz.
Several entertainment venues are reopening after being closed since October 6 and Zhuhai will relax its policy to requiring a negative COVID test result within 48 hours of arrival, instead of the prior policy for a 14-day quarantine. A key catalyst for the sector later this week will be the Las Vegas Sands (NYSE:LVS) earnings report, with investors focused on the company’s update on cash use and the views on Macau’s gaming law paper.
